EC2 offers auto-scaling, which automatically adjusts the number of instances in a group according to demand. This means that during periods of increased load, additional instances are automatically launched to handle the load, and then they are terminated when the load decreases. This ensures that your application can handle spikes in traffic without downtime or interruptions.

EC2 also offers various options for storing data, including Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon Elastic File System (EFS), and Amazon S3. EBS provides persistent block-level storage for use with EC2 instances. EFS provides scalable file storage for use with EC2 instances. S3 provides object storage that can be accessed from anywhere over the internet.

EC2 integrates with various other Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, including Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Route 53, and others.
